Your Coalition is actively planning and establishing a wave of activities to combat ethical standard drift in the mental health professions.
The combined work of our experts is tackling this drift with education, research, legislation and advocacy.
The Coalition has targeted Parent Estrangement as its first focus. The wins achieved here will become the foundation for broader topics in mental health practice.

Education
ESMH has a Continuing Education Unit (CEU) focused on Parental Estrangement in the works. When complete it will be available on our website and provided to universities, licensing boards and all others with interest.
Research
ESMH is designing our first study, “Does apology lead to reunion?” It will be available to journals, media outlets and on our site.
Legislation
ESMH is preparing briefings for legislators, tackling mental health practitioners’ responsibility. Special focus is on keeping families intact according to the standard “Do No Harm.”
