Mission Statement
The mission of Ethical Standards for Mental Health (ESMH) is to advance ethical, balanced, and evidence-based mental health practices through education, research, public engagement, and professional accountability. We promote transparency, responsible influence, and integrity across the mental health profession to safeguard individuals, strengthen families, and foster public trust.
Organizational Structure
ESMH Coalition operates under the umbrella of For The Family Foundation. This organizational structure reflects the foundation leadership, coalition leadership, and committee work supporting ESMH’s mission.
Progress to Date
ESMH Coalition has begun building the foundation for ethical, evidence-informed mental health communication and professional accountability.
Established the Ethical Standards for Mental Health Coalition.
Completed nonprofit formation and foundational governance steps.
Developed core values, strategic direction, and internal operating structure.
Began building membership and professional onboarding pathways.
Initiated development of a public-facing resource directory.
Built a founding leadership team of licensed professionals and aligned experts.
Established internal communication and collaboration systems.
Launched the initial coalition website and digital presence.
